The Groove Traders
The Groove Traders are a East London-based jazz, funk, and fusion group led by guitarist & composer Errol Thomas . Our unique sound combines jazz with elements of soul funk latin reggae grooves with modern fusion twist, creating a dynamic and energetic groove experience that is guaranteed to get you into our groove. The band is made up of talented musicians, each with their own distinct style and personality who love to express themselves and who are on a mission groove.
Errol Thomas
Godin Synth Guitar & Electric guitars
Errol founder of the Groove Traders leads the band and plays Godin synth access lead guitar & electric and acoustic guitars. Errol is also a Godin guitar endorsee.
Errol has written many new songs for The Groove Traders & The Jazz4Peace Collective that he looks forward to record and perform with his new bands
Alex Lowe
Bass
Alex is the anchor in the band and lays down the bass grooves, his funky basslines drive the rhythm section. With over 15 years of experience playing bass, he is a master of his craft and knows how to keep the groove going. Alex brings a wealth of experience to the Groove Traders.
Lester Osborne
Percussion
Lester puts the musical icing to the band, laying down great rhythmic percussion. He is a master of his craft and knows how to help keep The groove Traders groovin. Lester has played with some of the biggest names and brings a wealth of experience to the Groove Traders.
Giovanni Fiacco
Drums
Giovanni is the engine of the band, laying down the funky beats that drive the rhythm section. He is a very dynamic and full of energy, loves to solo Lock in with Alex on bass he raises the energy in the band and helps the band to achieve their mission which is to groove
Mark Freedman
Keyboards
Mark loves jazz and has been playing for over 30 years with Jazz and funk bands.
Main influences are Oscar Peterson, Monty Alexander, Herbie Hancock and Pat Metheny Ezra collective and Eliane Elias and the love of bebop shines through and adds some keyboard spice to our Groove.
Mark Chapman
Saxes
Mark plays both Tenor and Alto saxophones. Mark is a multi-instrumentals also plays piano. He enjoys many genres and loves to jazz and funk and fusion.
